What's the correct position on UFH room stats in bathrooms?

Can they go inside the bathrooms?

Or is it two single boxes? One inside and one outside room?

I'm trying to get all the donkey work done before spark is on site on Monday

    Thanks

Is it a 230 v system? If so sensor in a little box in the bathroom and the stat outside. That is how I am doing mine and is as recommended by the system designer and supplier. Position them at about eye level.

Heatmiser do a number of stats that can be configured to have a remote sensor (some floor or air, some both). The sensor goes in the bathroom and the display unit goes on the wall outside. They connect via a wire.

    Two examples..
    Buttons..

    Touch screen..

I actually made my own air remote air sensor for a Heatmiser some 9-10 years ago. From memory it was just a 10k temperature sensitive resistor.

Might seem obvious but don't mount the sensor anywhere near a heated towel rad if you have one of those.

    Thanks guys

I presume I need to fit 2 single boxes for the two parts to screw into? One in bathroom and one outside back to back.

Yes. This is the Heatmiser remote sensor..

Mounts by drilling a hole in a blank faceplate or perhaps even in a ceramic tile. Not sure how deep the back box needs to be for the sensor. Most of their stats appear to fit in a 35mm deep box.

Manual for the sensor has some dimensions but not sure about the bend radius for the cable.

If you decide to go for one of these give their support people a call and ask what depth back box they recommend.

The box in the sensor will be quite shallow about 12 mm deep being light you can stick it on the tiles with some silicon a couple of dabs will be sufficient. Boxes for the stat should be 35 mm deep min I have used 47 as it is in a plasterboard stud wall.
