I do not know of any mfr's of products that have paid MCS, and are not MCS-accredited, but there may well be some?
Boiler tested efficiencies are available : http://www.ncm-pcdb.org.uk/sap/podpage.jsp?id=6
MCS-Accreditation is a process I do not get involved with, altho' I imagine Ted on here can give you the inside-track?

Cheers..]]>

Thanks for the link. There are only 11 wood pellet boilers listed and mine (Ekopower) is not one of them. Does this mean that I have to chase the manufacturer to supply BRE with the necessary data?]]>

Would you like me to start a new one specifically dealing with this issue regarding wood pellet boilers and EPC's?
Jeff

Hi Jeff, don't worry it seems pretty appropriate here!

In which case, go to: https://www.epcregister.com/epcadviser.html and you can find out what your calculations are based on / how they could be improved.

Doesn't seem to work for new build ones though.

Is the www.epcregister.com site England & Wales only?

If so does anyone know of a Scottish equivalent?]]>

Thanks. I'd found that & similar. There appear to be plenty of places that can show the EPCs (e.g. as a pdf),

www.epcregister.com however offers rather more than that. Once you've selected an EPC it allows you to add or remove various improvements & see how that affects the rating.]]>

But more to the point, viewing EPC's is fine if it's your own, or if you are buying or considering buying, or renting, or considering renting a property.

Otherwise I'm fairly sure you're not allowed to / not supposed to...

(according to the terms and conditions bit you have to tick).

Probably won't get into trouble - but just be aware of the possibility when looking at all your neighbours ratings! (with their permissions...)]]>
