Building Regulations and Standards: A mistake in the drawings

    We've just realised there is a dimensional error in the plans submitted as part of our planning application, now passed. A 6 was transposed for an 8 making the house only six meters wide rather than eight. How easy would it be to get this corrected, what is the procedure?

    PP 'plans' tend not to be dimmed, but have scale.
    If the LPA mention it, ask for a non-material amendment.
    Keep quiet till someone says something! :wink:

    Whether anyone notices will depend on your neighbours. Are they for or against your development etc but if the drawing is drawn at the correct size but only dimensioned incorrectly you should be ok, as long as there is a scale shown on the drawing.

    I don't have neighbours, so hopefully I'll get away with it !!!

    With my planning application the LPA kept telling me that my neighbours house was 6.9 meters high and I instinctively new it was taller, I crept round there with a long piece of wood and its 8.2 meters high, ( the plans said 6.9 but the planners never checked) when I pointed this out to the LPA they backed down on their objection to our house being 7.9 meters high :)
