    I've just got this wall cross section from the architect and he's asked me for comment, so I thought I share it with you to see what you thought of his proposal?

    Looks good, your DPM/radon why not just bring it up the outside of retaining wall and lap it under timber frame sole plate. Nothing wrong with your proposal but the construction phasing and additional folds might rip cause weak point

    you could add thicker eps and render onto it with no battens. need vb internally with t/f

    need to run a land drain round outside, I am not a great believer in tanking, but if you must, keep it dry, make sure basement is nicely warm and well ventilated

    Not sure how your radon barrier works, radon gan go through concrete, rock and polyethene,
