    1950s solid floor room, extended (doubled in size) in early/mid 00s, assume 2002 regs.

    What should have happened with floor insulation according to regs? Just applied to the new section?

    Yes, I think just the new section. Crazy, I know, and due to HMG's apparent reluctance to impose consequential improvements on domestic work.

    Thanks, I am trying to calculate some assumed U values. My method will be to divide the room in two, calculate the two Us and then meld them back together as a proportion of the floor area (roughly 50:50).
