Long time lurker, decided to join today as it seems a friendly and knowledgeable forum and i'm looking for some ideas.

I am a joiner/builder but have spent most of my working life in your typical site situations, not really knowing or thinking about sustainability and just doing whatever it took to get the job done.

As i get older, i am getting more interested in green building methods, so am looking to learn as much as i can.

    Steve.

Welcome, I bet you could give a view on the thread below! A lot of theory goes on this forum and a lot of hands on experience from 'long time converted' types too, but as someone 'crossing over from the dark side' maybe you could see both sides and speculate on what 'might' and what 'won't' help change the way people work.

Somewhere on the banks of the Humber?

I'm in Grimsby and not too far from T'water.
