Not heard of any down here, but fit one so that we all know what it is like.

Ask for the performance data first.

My take: they're a gimmick. Take a perfectly functional air-water heat pump, remove the evaporator, and replace it with one that is grossly undersized but comes with a "solar" label in the hope that you can claim solar subsidies for a heat pump. (you can't in the UK)

They may be worthwhile for domestic hot water in an off the gas grid situation, but worthless for any significant load as the thermal resistance of the "collectors" (evaporators) is huge compared with a fan blown finned unit.
  1.
The manufacturers have had about four years to sort out independent testing and obtain MCS approval but have failed to do either.
We have only come across one system which has verifiable figures as it had a usage meter fitted and this is at:

Not a glowing recommendation from the owners.

""this thermodynamic system has been proven to be a complete and utter financial disaster.

The technology does not qualify for the RHI (renewable heat incentive) and running costs of over £600 a year or £11.95 a week for hot water and heating to six radiators have proven that this technology, which was not designed for use in the UK, should be avoided as the same £10,000 spent on a ECO boiler and a PV system with the feed in tariff would have been a far wiser choice.""
