    The only way to see out of the windows would have been to sit down and peer out!

    I was in Snowdonia when I got the call from the builder after he'd tackled him the first time and you could have heard me laughing down every valley. The builder explained that he'd (the architect) had meant the ceiling height to be 1800mm! I then had to explain to a very bemused builder (luckily a mate) what 1800 mm actually was in (roughly) feet and inches so that he could relate to it. Even then he couldn't see the problem. But then he is 5' 4"!

    (I've told this story in some detail elswhere on here, some time ago.)
