Do we bond in blockwork internal walls to the outside skin, either by building it all together or by pocketing in?

Or do we just hang out a load of wall ties now?

If it were mine, I'd want it built in as every other course was brought up

I'd allow pocketing if it was a bad plan access wise to build in

I'd not be allowing simple wall ties or a furfix type arrangement

    Regards

The builder says that NHBC insist on ties, not bonding in!!!! crazy for structural load bearing walls on same foundations, kind of understandable for partitions off slab or floor

My instinct would be to build it in but looking at the photo the wall ties look like the ones that allow for movement. Is the internal wall long? could be that this joint is an expansion joint. The NHBC web site is very extensive and informative have a look there to see if you can get the answer.

not sure it is a movement tie - looks like a metal loop at the end.
at least the cavity is bigger than 100mm Tony!
