no not price per sheet. as i wrote

    thermoroom @ 80mm £26
    pavadentro 80mm £29.81

    both /m^2

have to pay delivery on thermo, vat on both. have to buy vcl with thermo. yes odd sheet sizes, but both give out prices/ m^2.

what's your £10-£18 /sqm 80mm sheet, where do you buy it? what's the lambda value? that's the same price as OSB, is it lacking the gold dust that's in the above sheets?

at above prices for fibreboard I quoted, building a CLS frame and filling with thermohemp /vcl /plasterboard is approx half the price. trying to figure out £ compared to sprayed cellulose.

Hi no not the Pavatex Pavadentro, just the "basic hemp/fibre boards", this was for example Steico Therm or Universal or Special etc on the ecomerchant site which is where you end up from Burdens.
The most basic is Steico Therm which at 80mm is £11/sq m for .6 x 1.35 (wierd) size and about twice that for the other types with say the T&G edge etc.
If its a CLS frame were you in filling with hemp? is thermoroom a hemp batt? looks like a board on the Gutex site
Steico canflex batt at 0.6 x 1.2 ie a usual size is about £9/ sq m

    Cheers

3 products; thermoroom & pavadentro = wood fibre boards. thermohemp is a mat, or if you can find it, a roll, it needs a frame. No details of lambda for steico therm, but universal is quoted at 0.049. I assume steico therm is worse?

what board are you using Viking?
  4.
    Hi,

The lambda is on all of the Steico data sheets on their web site and through the re salers. Mostly they are quoted at 0.038 ish which is about the same as sheep wool and better than rock wool, but thats all theoretical !! The sheeps wool actually varies from 60 - 80% content so there is a variation there as well.

    Cheers

    Hi Spoon

We usually use Gutex because it is extruded in one layer, the others usually have 20mm layers glued together, I'm not what effect the glue has on the breathability and some of the samples I had delaminated. We try to use less Woodfibreboard and more Cellulose in our walls for cost reasons. We've lately gone from 60mm outside the Timber Frames to 30mm and widened the frames. The sooner somebody starts making it in the UK the better.

just read it's not recommended for solid walls (but neither is cellulose apparently...)

I see 0.049 for steico universal. burdens quotes .040 for steicotherm. so I assume you're paying for the better moisture resistance with pavadentro/thermoroom. think they're happy for install on solid walls. i assume pavatherm is cheaper (similar to steicotherm?) but also not happy on solid walls.

Hi, I'm looking at this product to internally insulate my 400mm thick stone walls. Did anyone/has anyone actually used this product?

My walls are either bare stone or lime plastered; but 'rustic' so they are not straight like a plasterboard wall would be, so fitting boards against it will result in air pockets.

My main question therefore is whether there is a problem if there are hollows behind the board and can I apply the board to a bare stone wall or will I have to lime plaster all of those?
