We're looking for someone who could install a new heating system for a three-bed house, including thermal store, wood stove with back boiler, solar thermal panels and gas boiler as backup.
Any recommendations gratefully received. CIPHE didn't come up with anything, and the Greener Alternative and one other plumber have been too busy to give a quotation. I'm trying 'rated people' to see if they can come up with anything.
    Thanks!

    where are you?
  1.
We are in a similar position working on our a highly insulated refurb project. Still looking for a heating engineer with knowledge in the green heating sector.
Complete replacement of the gas central heating probably with system boiler to integrate solar panels and running rads on 40C.
Anyone interested in a job in Shrewsbury please get in touch!
  2.
This seems to be a bit of an issue! I to am struggling to find a heating engineer for a refurb project with underfloor heating, some rads, solar, thermal store and solid fuel boiler...

    Mid Wales

Chippyclaus - did you get any joy in Shrewsbury?

Have you tried Gwres Glas / Mr Pym (mr-pym.co.uk)? We have got them to quote for a similar job on a new build, and will probably use them. No other connections.

I have also struggled big time.

Standard plumbers don't have a clue.

As a punter you really want someone to take overall responsibility. The risk of getting solar / woodburner / gas etc installers each chipping in is that none have the overview and therefore things can fall into a gap.
