    coxy , with 30m2 you should get 16 x 1.6m/1m 250W panels 4 by 4 , so around 4kWp
depending on of course the shape of the 30m2 , is it a nice simple square ?

CWatters, this should take you to SMA design tool which gives you hours of fun and cabling sizing too.

Interested to read on the first few pages of an inverter installation instructions,
"CAUTION! Possible damage to health as a result of the effects of irradiation!. do not stay closer than 20cm from the inverter for any length of time"
Anyone know what thats all about ! Must remember not to install one behind a bedstead again

That entry seems a long time ago! The system finally cost around £10.5k after a bit of haggling - thanks to the Govt. changing the tariffs (or threatening to) I took a risk and had it installed when the debate was raging, but finally ended up on the winning side - full FIT. The panels as fitted were a mix of 245W and 255W to give exactly 4kWp. I have posted the three year's figures elsewhere but I'll repeat them for anyone interested in the effect of having a system using each panel as an independent supply, against being part of a string.

SolarEdge system 4kWp split (3kw East and 1kW South)

Official Government annual output estimate for my location 2921 kWh (usually a bit low)
My supplier's own estimate 3529 kWh* pretty close to actual
    2012 output 3347 kWh
    2013 3622 kWh
    2014 3715 kWh

Can anyone with an Enecsys system post a few figures? I would have had one, but the delivery could not be guaranteed at the time
