Anybody have any experience/knowledge of Biomass CHP in the UK, from what I can gather it isn't quite there yet and also expensive. Would be interested to learn a bit more. Thanks

I look forward to the day when you can hammer a 13a plug into the end of a rotten log, after a quick squirt of nano-GM bio-activator.
  1.
Would you need an NICEIC electrician or building inspector sign off for that installation Tom?

Reply to Peter A: I've got about 500 links on exactly that topic (CHP). The UK is way behind the leaders in implementing CHP (the Scandinavian countries plus Austria are seriously into it). The reason I am interested is that I run a company that imports very large amounts of biomass into the UK from waste streams generated in the food processing industry. This is burned in CHP plants, co-fired with coal. Incidentally, anyone who produces biomass for heating (wood pellets or the stoves to put them in) can list their products free on www.PelletBase.com. People needing to buy can do the same. Thanks, Dave www.RyeEnergy.com

I don't know about hammering in a 13 amp socket, you should stick to screws and make sure they are all tight, because I think you might have a few loose!
