That would require me to buy a device to run it, so doesn't meet my definition of sensible

What does it do that the website doesn't?]]>

I'm taking Grand Central down from Yorkshire Monday for Tuesday. £21.75 return because for once I actually planned ahead.

A lot of the seminars sound interesting. e.g.
Tuesday 12.30 – 14.00 Mind the gap: why does energy use fall so far short of predictions in new buildings?]]>

Right, but a list of company names doesn't tell me what they do, and the categories are useless. Doors & windows doesn't include greensteps, for example. I just want a catalogue in advance, so I don't have to waste precious time on the day.

Perhaps we should arrange a time to meet up for a drink?

I think I'll be concentrating on products this year.]]>

Cost £296.
So cheaper to hire a car, which I may do.]]>

Those old Intercity 125s are swift silent luxury compared to the modern vibrating glorified diesel railcars. And home by sleeper, either in bunk (tea or coffee with your morning call sir?) or in the converted-1st-class 3-abreast spacious seated section (incredibly cheap if booked ahead). Only seen at night, beautifully liveried, pulled by a fleet of refurbed macho 1960s Brush diesels (one maroon, one BRG, one royal blue). GWR still lives!]]> Ecobuild http://www.greenbuildingforum.co.uk/newforum/comments.php?DiscussionID=8835&Focus=169355#Comment_169355 http://www.greenbuildingforum.co.uk/newforum/comments.php?DiscussionID=8835&Focus=169355#Comment_169355 Wed, 06 Mar 2013 17:34:32 +0000 djh Ecobuild http://www.greenbuildingforum.co.uk/newforum/comments.php?DiscussionID=8835&Focus=169379#Comment_169379 http://www.greenbuildingforum.co.uk/newforum/comments.php?DiscussionID=8835&Focus=169379#Comment_169379 Wed, 06 Mar 2013 20:52:18 +0000 Timber
Lots and lots of solar again although I think a fair amount less than last year. Also lots of stuff that had nothing to do with Eco - such as stone and tile floor suppliers, tool manufacturers, and other similar things.

I liked the stawbale building demos - although I didn't have much chance to really watch them.]]>

Only problem is that I have seen and heard the same for the last six or seven years (WhisperGen were the first I was aware of but never seen it on sale anywhere). All very eco-friendly but never seems to hit the sales floor. Imagine this one will be a similar.]]>
