    "Application deadline 30 June: European Master-Doctorate Course on Vulnerability of Cultural Heritage to Climate Change

    Strasbourg, France

    The European and Mediterranean Major Hazards Agreement (EUR-OPA) of the Council of Europe, in cooperation with the European University Centre for Cultural Heritage (CUEBC) is organizing a 5-day Master-Doctorate Course on "Vulnerability of Cultural Heritage to Climate Change" in Strasbourg, France, from 7 to 11 September 2009.

    The Course aims to ensure that young European students are informed on climate change and its impact on urban landscape and built heritage.

    The Course is addressed to young people with scientific backgrounds from Europe or from member countries of the EUR-OPA Agreement: physicists, chemists, geologists, biologists, engineers (a high level of scientific background is required in order to facilitate the comprehension of the topics). Teaching will be delivered in English without any simultaneous interpretation.

    There is no registration fee. The Council of Europe will cover the travel and subsistence expenses for a limited number of participants after careful examination and selection of the applications.

    Application deadline: 30 June 2009
