Short movie showing the wonderful effects of improving U values (with lego figures and confectionary).

Hell, I though I was weird with the stuff I put up on Youtube.
So now there is an empty house using energy as I bet Sharon is 'keeping it just in case'.
Of course Alan should just have moved in with Sharon and saved the embodied energy. I think that is what I would have done

Marvellous! All my eco refurb teaching contains the statement 'U values are fun', but this is more so!

Here it is as a proper link (selecting “Format comment as Text” rather than “Html”):

Perhaps you selected a one or two too many or too few characters or something.

    Thanks Ed
  2.
Brilliant video. But both of them need to work or air tightness. Massive gaps between the waffle SIPs Anyone know the u value of marzipan? I think that would do the trick?

What I don't understand is that this is a UK production and yet it is holding up 0.5 W/m²K as "good"!! It doesn't even meet building regs!!!!!
  3.
It's saying that a filled cavity (c0.5) is better than an unfilled cavity (c1.5). For retro-filled cavity walls part L1B requires 0.55, so the 0.5 in the 'love story' does meet the Regs.

Is our love making now regulated!! Will I soon be forced to stay in on my own with the curtains closed at mid day because my U is to high, or is that ewe :shamed:

No ST, I thought it was a very clear message of "Girls will like you more if your ewe value is lower".
So, good news for all us blokes on here.
    I feel smugger already :-)

PS: Just one question: How do I show new ladies that I meet how low my U value is?
    PPS: Will that *really* work?

Easy! Get a T-shirt printed with your EPC printed on it (or your DER)
