Such a shame that the sister forum to this one has had to close…

    http://www.greenbuildingpress.co.uk/forum_topic.php?thread_id=451

…because there were some interesting threads on there. From one…

    http://www.ncwarn.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/NCW-SolarReport_final1.pdf

Which, despite being US oriented, give much food for thought, even for such a die-hard nukey as moi!

And yet it's up there at the top of this page!

Still some good stuff worth looking through. I wonder how many on that site were aware of the existence of this one? Talk about parallel universes.

'You know nothing' is the correct quote - just watched it again - 'even-shua-lee' - fabulous!

It's "you know nothing" by Basil at first, but "I know nothing" later on, when he is invited by basil to explain to Mrs Richards.

I have an overwhelming sense of deja vu, remembering when I sat there with a blank look on my face, surrounded by loonies who were heavily into Monty Python. One of them would come out with some totally meaningless quote from the last programme and everyone would crease up. I used to put it down to my fondness for draught Guinness.

What the feck are you lot talking about??

Ha, thank god for the subconscious. Woke up this morning with one name running around my head - bloody MANUEL. Although quite how that dawn moment will help to save the planet I've still yet to work out!

Oh god, Tom, you're making me wish I'd stayed in bed!

The groan was so loud my daughter asked if I was OK.
