I have just picked up an A1 designjet 350C from a House clearance for 99p. it seem to be in good condition but has the following error code on start up:-

Load Media, normal and error LEDS on continuous. are there any people out there can give me advice or offer a basic service (south east Wales)

I assume you've loaded the paper into the plotter?

Google for error codes and common problems would be my advice, but I know nothing of plotters other than we used to have one and it was a pain in the ass loading paper and would spit it back out again randomly.

Cwatters that is precisely the problem but unfortunately the solution suggested seems impractical, it requires an A1 sheet of OHP film

What vintage is the 350C? I recently had excellent experience with HP 'instant repair' scheme - despite being 'no longer supported', for a moderate flat-rate price they really bust a gut - 3 half-day technician visits and unlimited new parts - almost a new 110plus nr in the end!
