Posted By: johnureadyAs there is no connection to the grid and it's a self install, Part P, probably not required.Part P definitely applies. Whether it's notifiable under Part P is another question. Personally, I can't see why cat-5 network cabling pinned to the skirting board isn't notifiable but maybe I'm missing something but thankfully I live in a country where Part P doesn't apply (Scotland) so I haven't looked too hard.

I would not use a microprocessor unless you like programming them and are prepared to keep the thing going for at least 10 years.
