Been experimenting with sketchup and looking for real-life components I can use in models. Specifically looking for 3G / passivhaus windows and doors but also SIPS, etc.

So far have found Jeldwen windows and doors (limited), Logix ICF blocks, Velux - good range including sun tunnels and solar panels as well as roof windows but not much else.

    Has anyone found any others?

    thanks

Redland just came out with their stuff for Revit - convertible to SU?
  1.
I would have thought anyone who had gone to the trouble of modelling something like that would have uploaded to the 3D Warehouse.... ...but to be honest, once your're into components that detailed in SU, I think your stretching the software a bit IMHO and erratic performance, painfully slow shadow rendering and 'bug splats' galore are not far away...

I would tend to stick with v.simple components plus the odd piece of detail (the clients make and model of car  etc) and only use those kind of details if modelling a particular room or condition.
