It was actually very good. Pity.

It should be available as a recording. Doesn't waffle on like some of them.

Of particular interest because the exercise was specifically aimed at assessing properties and projects coming under the Green Deal.

Some not-so-surprising revelations regarding pay-back for GBF regulars. The figures certainly surprised me, despite the discussions on here.

It should come up on this site pretty soon as a recording...

    http://www.cicstart.org/content/webcasts/213/

But in the meantime there are a few past webinars that might be of interest.

Excellent webinar today. Two good speakers.

Interesting to see the extent of shading's effect on pv arrays, with a single cell having a significant impact on output. (Although that was in series arrays, they didn't pick up on a question about parallel arrays, which aren't affected to quite the same degree - no pun intended.)

    (You were quiet, Nick.)

For some reason at the start my sound was dreadful, could not make out what they were saying much, so went and cleared out the shed. Shall try and catch it on 'watch again' as Tariq seemed to say something interesting that got my attention.

Sound not as bad as it was when they started these things, at least they don't have to keep moving a single microphone between speakers any more. Still takes them a minute or two to get the levels right though.

Worth taking a look at this series of talks...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?playnext=1&index=17&feature=PlayList&v=lm_54R58yj4&list=PLE5466A860D85E2FC

To get the whole presentation, you must let them run over the end of each part and the next part starts automatically. There are three parts and then a part four which is the Q&A session.

If you leave it to run on further you go into following presentations about passive house and zero-heating builds. It's interesting stuff.

    This is today's...

(Just got a phone call which means I have to go out and so probably won't be able to chat Branka up again!)

(Did make it, a bit late, but what I saw was very interesting. Always surprised that it's only Nick and me who make it though.)

Well the sounds was 2/3rds better, could not hear the Brazilian very well.
Has the GBF taken over Heriot Watt.

Did I hear right that the next one was not a webcast? Shame if it isn't as I could get excited in that one, especially if Tony is there

Yes, you heard right. It's a one-day conference at £99.

    Does look interesting.

I wanted to ask if I'd be correct in assuming that climate change would mitigate the Heat Island effect, the HI effect being relative and all, but Branka closed the discussion down before I could finish typing.

Had to turn the sound up for the Brazilian and then scurry to turn it down again when the other guy cut in. Now he was a very effective speaker, not only answering the question directly but covering any implied issues.
