Hi can anyone please give me some guidence as to what sewage treatment plant I should go for i am looking at two ,one is by a company called "wte" and is a modle called the vortex and the other is by a company called "bio pure" and the model is the bio pure 2 they seem to me to be very similar except the bio pure has a longer desludge period (3 years)
There is only two in the house and it is a 2 bed bungalow.part of my problem is discharge as i dont have a nearby water sauce to go into .this is a new build and the plot is 100x50mtrs aprox.

If you can't discharge the only realistic option is a cesspit.

From experience I wouldn't necessarily believe the desludge periods advertised by any manufacturer. I discharge into a reed bed and then into the ground as I don't have a nearby water course to discharge into.

Hi flexon, we have had an activated sludge system working since 2008, without any problems and no media or filters to worry about. There are two of us and we find a 3 year emptying cycle seems to be fine. Our system fits in our old 'onion' septic tank, but looking at the Vortex system, it seems similar and maybe a little better. I like the idea of the two air streams doing different tasks. The effluent will be clean enough to enter a watercourse, so will be fine for a reed bed or a soakaway. Hope this helps.
