What's a good product for acoustically sealing internal door jamb shim gap? We'll seal plasterboard against stud and against door liner but probably a good idea to fill the shim gap up with something to be sure, no? But what with? Acoustic sealant? pu Foam?

Depends really, rolls royce would be a full back fill of flexible silicone sealant - but that is a bit OTT. You could mostly fill the depth with expanding foam and then face over with a 5 - 10mm thick layer of silicone sealant - but it depends on the detailing of the plasterboard and how well the door fits!

Compriband type strip, which comes off the roll compressed but then slowly expands to fill quite a gap (depending on size/thickness chosen)
