    Note in passing: the “proper” use of the term “dynamic pressure” means the <em>increased</em> pressure of a moving fluid like the increase in pressure on the upwind side of a house. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_pressure

    The amount the pressure drops when the fluid is flowing is called head loss: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydraulic_head#Head_loss but i don't know a good term for the resulting pressure (static pressure - head loss).

    Good to know. I think I've seen "dynamic pressure" used to denote (static pressure - head loss) in plumbing fittings documents. I think I've also seen "residual pressure" used, BICBW.
