Looking for an up-to-date list of companies who can both supply AND fit timber DG windows? One where I can meet a rep on site in person rather than me supply the details...

This might be too big for our local joiners personally

I have a grade 2 listed building in Cardiff which requires over 50 windows of considerable size

    Thanks

ive been very impressed with greenbuildingstore. too expensive for supply and instlal though due to travel time down ehre to the south coast.

If I were you I'd just self install

Do GBS even do DG now?

I think it's the *and fit* that's the issue for a lot of suppliers.

They they can on request - just a matter of changing glazing bead

But if you have a frame already made for 3G it's very likely (certainly is in GBS's case, AFAIK) to be a bigger frame section than that required for a 4/16/4 or 4/20/4 DGU. My GBS 3G units are 4/18/4/18/4), so even if you assume the replacement DGUs are 4/20/4, the bead is going to be 20mm bigger, and take the glazing well back into the rebate.

If the building is listed, isn't that going to play a major part in any choice of windows?
