I would be very curious to hear about any real-life user experiences with that.

Two specific questions:
- is grade 316 steel good enough, or should I go with grade 904?
- any advice how to join the 6" flue liner to the 160mm Lindab spiral duct?

Many thanks!]]>

Posted By: tonyI much prefer ducts that are complete smooth inside

I agree in principle -- this is for using a disused chimney as the return duct -- a straight solid 160 mm pipe won't fit.

Does anyone know if Lindab use 316 or 904 grade steel? (I am fairly certain 316 but not 100% sure)]]>

Could not find 6" to 160mm adaptor from Lindab though...

Posted By: Dominic CooneyI think Lindab make all manner of reducers/adaptators. A couple of stainless steel self tappers should provide security.

Zinc-plated mild steel reducers with rubber seals to fit spiral ducting tube.

Reducers, as with all fittings, are male and slip inside spiral tube.

Lindab safe reducers are not generally held in our own stock. Smaller sizes typically 2-3 working days, larger reducers may take up to 5 working days.]]>
