For some reason this publication is considered a rarity and the asking price consequentially inflated to ridiculous levels. When I first investigated what it was worth there were sums in excess of £300 coming up, which is bloody silly. I put it onto Amazon at £50 and a number of other inflated sellers vanished, leaving just the one other who reduced their price to a few pence over £50! It didn't sell anyway, which didn't surprise me even at that price!!

Anyway, it's on offer here to the highest 'bidder' plus postage (it's not a big publication, so the postage won't be much). I won't put it on eBay in case it goes to one of those grasping dealers who'll put it up again for some stupid price. I'd rather it went to a good home that will make use of it.

If you go on Amazon or Google it, you'll get an idea of what it's about.

Published by the Wadebridge Ecological Centre in Cornwall, it's a typical 70s eco publication from the days when those of us who were in to such things developed our own technology and made what we could out of what was to hand. I bought it in 1991 at a library sale at Compton campus when the University of Wolverhampton was still the Polytechnic. It had only ever been taken out once.

It's actually in very good nick, still with the library stickers on it to avoid defacing the pages, and contains pretty much all the information you'll need to build your own hydropower source, but remember you've still got to provide the means of generating that electrical power from the water turbine, but you're spoilt for choice there.

If you're interested then email your bid to

    Oldcollier@btinternet.com

And it’ll go to the highest bidder, even there’s only one!

I’m on holiday until Sunday 10th, so if you do email I can’t get back to you before then.

    Thanks.
