    If you have to go with IWI, there's some useful research n Historic Scotland's Refurbishment Case Study 4, comparing wood fibreboard, hemp board, blown cellulose, injected polystyrene bead, and aerogel board, with U-values between 0.19 and 0.32, no vapour barrier and plasterboard and / or skim finish.

    None of them resulted in worrying RH levels at the wall-insulation interface, nor 50mm into the wall, despite the Scottish climate (although in the case of wood fibreboard these RH levels were considerably higher than the RH in the room).
