Guys. Eco builder is only trying to make a living and do the right thing on the building front so theres no need to take the p**s on the spelling/grammar front. I am sure his command of english is far greater than any of ours in his mother tongue.

Strange that, the scandinavians and Dutch normally speak it better than we do, now, lets not get political about our scholastic system and the decades of political meddling :o)

I am pretty handy with a hammer and nail, what criteria do you have in mind for your business partner, what investment is involved, on what terms will business be done?

That's because this chap would be Slovakian!...... .SK is the country code top level domain identifier the site is up and live as well at this moment BUT it is in Slovak so a tad hard to understand.

Weird how everyone assumed (including me!) that eco-builder would be Scandinavian :shamed:

Well I knew straight away - I have friends who are from Banska Bystrica, now living in Bratislava. Lovely country and 40% foreseted - not suprised to see the European tiger economy offering to supply timber homes to the UK. However - a lot of slovak properties I've seen being built are made from "hollowed waffle" terracotta blocks. Well those around Bratislava anyway. Either that or 6/12 storey concrete towers built by the communists ;-)

Ecobuilder - you want to take an advert out in the magazines over here - Green building Magazine, Grand Designs, Home Building and Rennovating, Build It, Self Build And Design.

But first, for the UK Market to take you seriously you'll want to get a BBA Certificate or Trada Approval, which shows that you've had your product tested to met any U value / suitabilty for purpose claims you make.

Good look on finding a partner - I like the look of your "Lego" construction blocks. Is it easy for a novice builder (like me) to put together?

Tip, click on the little 'Union Flag' graphic next to the house in the banner and the English version is revealed :o)

There are some broken links on there to images which one should not expect on a new website.

Seconded :-) Let's take him on face value and see if what he says makes enough sense to make it stand up to scrutiny on the technical level. Many British-born people are appallingly illiterate even in their own language, and almost impossible to understand.
I'm currently at University doing another degree in Architectural Technology, and probably the very best lecturer on the course is from Serbia: one amazingly mult-talented guy who doesn't just know his stuff in all sorts of fields from Structural Engineering through CAD to Architecture but has great teaching skills and cares about his students as well! Am I going to dismiss what he has to say because he makes the odd grammatical mistake and his English is not quite as perfect as mine? Methinks that would be stupidity incarnate!

You could always try the Google Translate facility - a bit on the erratic side, but can give you the gist of any text in most European languages. Just copy and paste blocks of text and away you go>
If anyone's made a serious stab at learning any slavonic language, then you'll know the meaning of humility. Don't get me started on Swedish or Hungarian!
