    Eave detail without extending the rafter. What do think? Structurally plausible?

    Studs and rafters are i-joists

    Yes, structurally plausable and is a variation on a standard approach to extended roof overhang at the eaves and sprocketed roofs. It's just down to sufficient fixings and brackets on the ijoist web connection to the plate fixed to the end of the rafters. If you're using standard timbers for the sprockets, you could fix those to the plate and then lift and screw the assembly into place.

    Treat the facia & Soffet (if wood) *before* fixing (both sides) and get Lindab Guttering. 10 years on mine looks as good as it did when fitted.

    Or use locally sourced green sawn douglas fir untreated (butt jointed plank soffit)
