    Lidl are doing 1 tonne, 3 metre pull chain hoists this week for £29.99. I'm no expert but they look well made for occasional use. I bought one yesterday and used it today to stand up the gable end frame of my house. Happy enough to go off and buy another when I'd done that (one for each end of my purlins might be handy).
