Seeking an environmentally friendly roof tiler, willing to use Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified wood treated with an environmentally friendly preservative such as Organowood Protector 01, or to use oak which is more durable.

Any quotes or advice gratefully received. Orpington area, on the edge of South East London, near Kent.

Best wishes,
Tamara

Hello!
Hoping to do this in as environmentally friendly way as possible. Would you be interested in replacing the flat roof on a garage? A good price paid to the right person.

Your advice would be appreciated too. The area is Orpington, on the edge of South East London, near Kent.

Best wishes,
Tamara

How flat is flat? Wooden shakes/shingles need a minimum of 14° it seems and all tiles need a slope to work.]]>

Tamara - it is generally not a good idea to post your email address (or phone number) on an open forum. Best to ask for a message through the forum.]]>

I would suggest you look at the options (including local availability) and decide what you want and then find a trades person happy to do the task]]>
