I reckon I get more complaints and questions about FIT suppliers (that's the energy company that administers your feed-in tariff) than any other thing. So I've set up a survey to try and find out what people really think of their FIT suppliers; what the problems are; and which ones are giving the best service. Its only 9 questions so will take a couple of minutes to reply (unless you choose to write an essay), and as a bribe, we'll put everyone who responds into a draw for an Amazon voucher. I'll also share the results with you all, to help newby microgenerators to pick a good one. The survey is here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/X6LFVMK

    Me too.

    PS.
    Nit picking over wording, but...

Re. Q2. Since (I guess) most people will have experience of only one provider does "Average" make sense as an answer? Maybe "Acceptable" would be an alternative?

I should probably get out more...

Have filled it in but I have never received a payment. E.ON has so far managed to delay the registration by over 6 months.

I've been having the same problems with E.ON, though only 5 months for me... How do you go about changing your FITs supplier if the first one has never managed to get you registered? Hmmm...

Thank you very much everyone. Just starting to analyse and some really interesting findings. Fred56 & mw116 you're not alone in not being happy with E.ON. Good point Skywright, but too late to change now.

I think we did something on here about FIT payments and how fast people where getting them a while back. Seem to remember that one was very good.

Starting to get a bit unhappy with SSE..

    System installed summer 2011
    Owner died November 2011
    SSE notified December 2012
No response to a request for a statement of income owed to the estate (IHT purposes).
Gave up waiting, estimated income and applied for Probate.
Probate obtained and sent to SSE 21st May 2012
No payment recieved as at 12th August 2012.

They continue to send paperwork that needs action to the property address which is empty.

Thank you very much to everyone who completed our survey. There were some clear winners and losers. Ecotricity and Good Energy both scored highly. E.on was clearly the worst with consistent ratings of poor and diabolical. Others had more of an even spread.
