We have one pallet of(30) Pavatex Diffutherm boards left over from our self build .1300mmx790mm x60mm. Does anyone need these? Also we used the Bayosan lime plastering system and we have a variety of "left overs"!

    Where are you ?
I may have a client that could be interested when i talk em round.

Any feedback on the product / technique ?
What surface were they fixed onto ?
What cost are they.. your surplus, and also the cost of any extra needed, to be bought new ?
    Cheers

On a similar topic, I have about 8 boxes of the plastic 'eejot' fixings that you put the screw through and they then press onto the diffutherm board to distribute the screw pressure(bought them from NBT and ended up not using them). Just in case anyone's interested...

I'm working on a building that's due to be on site within a month which is precisely this construction - Baumit render on 60mm Diffutherm fixed back with EJOT fixings. The quantity you have is about 1/7th what we need, but as the tenders returned are 10s of £K over budget I'm looking for any savings possible (obviously depends on how much less than purchase price you're willing to sell the pallet on for!). The project is in Sheffield.

Sorry not replied yet. We are in Hereford. For Ali.gill. We fixed the boards to a basic (inside out) woodframe, filled between frame and boards with fleece. Bayosan lime render system then used. NBT did demonstrations for our builder and plasterer, and stayed available by mobile for questions. Our builder had never used the boards before and he found no problems, quick and easy to use. There were a lot of offcuts though, which if you were actually doing the job with your own bare hands you may jiggle more use from them?? The boards need to be plastered for protection, but you do have a couple of months to get a "weather window" not too cold or wet. We managed it this winter! Our plastering has just been finished. The boards cost about £23 each but we would be willing to sell for half price. In fact we would be happy to sell any of our "left overs" for half NBT price. If anyone wants an exact list I could make one. But I would say that it would be worth your while to make a trip with a trailer from Cornwall or Sheffield!

We did find that a lot of the bits of the "system" were in packs so you will always end up with a surplus! I don't know why we ended up with so much surplus of things not in packs though! There are a lot of the plaster products left too, but as we have just finished and they have been kept inside, and are unopened bags, as recieved, they are still good. Things we "found out" too late for action, but may help you! - NBT charges 30 percent restocking fee, and does not take all things back. Not very green! Also we were told that for guarantee/warranty purposes the boards are only guaranteed with the Bayosan system (not any old lime plaster) and that includes the stablising paint as the final layer.
    Still, the house looks lovely!

hey cocojack can you post some photos and a description of the job when you get a chance.
    £23/sq.m just for the board

green refurbishment article in gb mag puts the suppy and fit cost at almost £40/sq.m which i think tallies with what the local nbt rep told me.
The project i've got on has a budget of £350k but is a brick cavity wall (SimonH?), in need of some structural remediation.

Are these boards still available? We live nearby in Wales and can pick them up soon at your convenience.

    Thanks

    Jenny

    Hi,
Does anyone have any 60mm or 80mm Diffutherm boards left over? I need about 25 of them to insulate an old stone wall exterior.
  1.
    JennyHall

Are you planning to use these boards for external wall instalation? If would be interested in haveing a lokk at your project/helping for a day to gain some knowledge. I live just north of Llanidloes Mid Wales...

    CokoJack

If JenneyHall does not want your boards, I would be interested also (only fair to give her first dabs as she asked first...)
