Lot depends on how you will cut it and clear up the clippings. If you have a friendly farmer with the right kit then you're sorted. If, like me you cut it yourself with a Stihl hedge trimmer then the clear up is a hassle. It typically grows 3-4ft per year. I generally cut mine to chest height in January when most of the leaves have gone. Then pile up the cuttings and wait a few months before burning them (typically three bonfires dotted along the hedge).]]>
