    I'm looking for a number of people from within the industry to contribute to an article about green building organisations. I need a housebuilder, developer, architect, general builder/renovator, tradesperson (any trade) and last but not least a product dealer.

    The plan for the story is to get each one to look around at the existing and new green building organisations and decide which one, if any would best suit their goals or needs. The contributors would also, hopefully compare what the green building organisations appropriate to them may be offering that exceeds, compliments (or not) the more long term established trade organisations that they may already be members of.

    We want to present our readers with a broad picture of what is availabe, at what cost and what benefit. We may follow it up in the following issue with a layman's wiew of it all.

    Apologies to Biff for any spelling errors.

    I would willing to volunteer as a developer but I would like to know more about the article first.

    The idea Nigel will be to examine the range of green building organisations that might be appropriate to your business. I know you are not new to the green building arena but most developers will come to the sector needing some hand-holding so naturally thay may want to turn to an organisation to help them find their way around the issues and aproaches.

    We now know there is a plethora to choose from so the idea of the story is to look at the choices to cut down the time it might take a newbie to find the right organisation for them. Also you will need to compare the info and help available againt that from your regular trade association like the CIOB or RIBA who would also claim to be doing plenty on the green front.

    I can provide a list of organisations.

    Nigel. Are you happy to go ahead with this? I just need you to look around and see what each of the orgasnisations are offering as assistance to your business and if it is worth it. I assume you already know what the AECB offer. there is now the UKGBC and Good Homes Alliance.

    Don't worry if you don't have time just let me know so I know if i need to keep looking for a developer. I've still got an architect to find and a tradesperson. So don't be shy the rest of you.
