All bathrooms toilets are internal and do not have external walls. Gas CH. Trying our best with airtightness.

Few queries
1. Does anyone have experience using these or similar?
2. What flow rates do I need?
3. Recomendations for dealing with smell and steam? All bathrooms internal without external walls. Stuck with soil stack positions from previous owners. We have 6/7 baths/Loo rooms so solution needs to be cost effective.

Anyone used Fermacell boards before?

I spoke to the rep and he said after installing and fixing with joint stick glue you don;t need to skim it but instead cover it with Fermacell "fine surface treatment". I've heard others don;t even bother doing that and just paint it with no visible joints at all.

What do we think? I'm finding it hard to believe the joints are invisible without skimming.

I've seen elsewhere on here that the WBP standard for plywood is obsolete and potentially meaningless. One contributor vowed he would never use WBP labelled ply.

However, merchants still use "WBP" in their catalogues, why is this? Why would they use a (discredited?) standard that supposedly has no meaning. It's confusing me a lot.
I'm leaning towards OSB 3, say 9-11mm because cost and weight and environmental impact are factors. I'll try to make sure that the OSB never gets damp. I wonder if OSB is as ridgid as ply though, and I'm sure I read that OSB is heavier than ply for the same strength.
Screen shot below from one catalogue; which ply would you choose?]]>

2K-PUR is a 2-component polyurethane-based product that forms a permanently elastic, seamless, yet highly vapour permeable membrane that is both durable and tear-resistant. Roughly 80% of the applied polyols (resins) in Kemperol 2K-PUR are obtained from the seeds of the tropical castor plant.

And what about GRP (fibreglass) or cold liquid-applied, fleece reinforced resin (e.g. Kemperol http://www.kemper-system.com/UK/eng/liquid-waterproofing/kemperol-2k-pur-solvent-free/ )?

Edit:
One reason for us as self-builders not to use Kemperol:

I'm not a builder but have lots of chemical sensitivities and have to be careful what products I use.

I am just about to have some work done to my kitchen and at some point will be having a new bathroom too.

Please could someone suggest environmental/non toxic products for

a. joining granite kitchen worktops. (Can't find a safer alternative to granite - I probably wouldn't tolerate the oils needed to oil wood worktops and recycled worktops are more than double the price of the cheapish granite one I have found)

b. a coloured silicone sealant or something similar. I use Dow Corning (now Geocell) aquarium sealant for many things - this is great - smells of acetic acid upon application but does not outgas after a couple of days. However it the sealant is clear and I may want a white sealant when I get my bathroom done.

c. Natural tile/stone sealant. ECOS organic paints do one suitable for porous stone that has not been polished. Ideally I would like to know of one suitable for polished stone too - eg travertine tiles.

d. Filler for between floorboards. I have a stripped/varnished floorboards in one room and the filler has come out in places.

Lots of fillers that are not powder have fungicides in them. They do not have to be declared on the label etc when the content is less than 0.5%.

Thanks,
Carol]]>
