I think the design code is CPC-210-DHBAA-XAJA (the photo I have here is a bit blurry - I have a better one at home which I'll post later)

It has a 160kW plate heat exchanger and 28mm blending valve.
Indirect coil for connection to boiler/heat source, plus backup (whole store) immersion heater
Tapings for a drain back solar system (never used)
It has a dial temperature gauge, and sensor pocket for a thermostat.
210 litre capacity, 535mm x 1750mm high (plus fittings)

It works fine - it's being replaced as part of the refurb and extension we're doing (which needs an even bigger cylinder!)

We have extremely hard water here, so the plate heat exchanger could do probably with descaling. I'll include the jig I made from copper pipes that makes it really easy (just attach to PHE, pour in Kilrock K and wait for the fizzing to stop).

Also included:
Honeywell Smartfit S-Plan heating controls including 7 day programmer (lets you set 3 independent temperature set points for each day), 2 x 2-port valves, wiring centre, thermal probe for the tank, and radio time clock receiver which sets the time automatically from the MSF radio time signal.

For more information about the cylinder, put the design code in on this webpage:

Open to offers. This would have to be collected from us in Hemel Hempstead.

Not necessarily a full M+E design but some one to coordinate how / make sure it all fits together, could be a good well qualified contractor / company or supplier or an M+E chap (or chap-ess) who knows about fee restraint.

In the past the former are averse to any involvement outside they're own catalogue / last job and the latter tend to charge fees that are disproportionate to the cost of the overall installation.

Any ideas / recommendations / volunteers.

However it would be good to get these out of the way and if there are any teething problems in our new found skills and qualifications 'would prefer not to inflict this on new large commercial clients.

Therefore although early days and nothing decided finally yet etc, would anyone fancy a CfSH assessment doing? I know they can be done on a job commenced, not sure about completed.

On that basis we could do it at cost or less, depends what we'd have to do, (I am not for eg doing design stage and post construction stage CfSH assessments on 200 new houses for 50p and a bag of grapes!)

Have located a lock supplier, but suspect they might only supply in quantity and I only want the one, so if anyone knows of a cheap, preferably clip-on ratchet lock...?

Yobs have smashed the hinged toughened glass doors on the noticeboard outside our local Costcutters and the owner has asked me to convert the cabinet to sliding doors. If the worst comes to the worst I'll just slot the oak frame (made to fit on top of the existing cabinet, screwed and glued in place) to take the glass because the cabinet isn't opened on a regular basis, but would prefer the smoother run of a channel. (Drain holes will be drilled whether slotted or channelled!)

- Has anyone happened on a slab of laminated walk-on glass? Perhaps a stair tread or a small section of walkway? Size - could be acommodated.

I'd like to let some light through the floor of a potential small storage/kids area. Call it a shelf, crog loft or mezzanine. It can't ever get heavy use because it wouldn't even have standing headroom, but it will block a velux above. Hence nice to have a window with some walk-on glass.

I could phone round the country, but if anyone who haunts salvage yards recalls seeing such, it could be useful.

We are coming to the end of our self build project, for which we bought in March 2010 a new caravan/mobile home to stay in at weekends during the build. It is just my wife & I (no kids or pets!) and we only used it during weekends so still smells and looks like new! Partly helped by being 80% undercover in a barn!

It is a Swift Burgundy 35' x 10' 3 bedroom: http://www.swiftleisure.co.uk/holiday-homes/burgundy/layouts and included in the price is a Fridge and Microwave

We paid £20k in March -- would look to take something like £16k for it.

We are located just outside Winchester if you'd like to view it.

Whisper me if you'd like any more details

The plan was that there would be three modes of operation, burning wood to heat water, making wood gas and the two together. The wood gas was to run a gas fires generator.

For those of you that don't know what Panelvent is, it's a fibre board made of compressed wood fibre (no additives) and has good vapour transfer characteristics. It's recommended for external sheathing of timber frame/roofs when you use Warmcell insulation (cellulose fibre) so any moisture within the wall/roof can migrate to the outside.

I live in the East Midlands and could deliver (within reason!).]]>
