JRF are sponsoring The Climate Coalition (CC) and the Low Carbon Communities Network (LCCN) who are holding a major free conference. This will bring together people from local action groups across the UK with national NGO’s as well as local government and support agencies.

The next year will be a critical one for work on climate change. The general election and the UN Paris conference will be key events, while issues round divestment, fracking, and renewable energy will also be focal points for action. Action at a local level will be an essential part of this work.

This event will offer all involved a change to learn, to share, to build skills and to plan, as well as being a unique opportunity to build and renew contacts across and between networks.

Chair: Chris Church, Low Carbon Communities Network

Speakers include: Katharine Knox, Programme Manager – Place, Policy & Research, Joseph Rowntree Foundation, Asad Rehman, Senior Campaigner, International Climate, Friends of the Earth, Neil Thorns, Chair, Climate Coalition and others tbc.

If you would like to register for a place, please book here. www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/climate-change-new-directions-for-local-action-tickets-9630371701?aff=affiliate1
