Anyone have a favourite basement cavity drainage system they'd like to recommend?

delta membrane, RIW, newton membrane - all do the job if detailed and installed correctly.

They are all pretty good. Internal ones rely on sump / pumps (or outfall to a lower level - unlikely in a basement). If correctly installed the basement will never get wet.
  1.
Or you could build the basement so it doesn't leak?

Concrete is the first material to use. Waterproof it and do it well and you don't need anything else.

Concrete is the only waterproofing material that cannot be damaged after it is complete.

Sometimes existing cellars can have a waterproof concrete floor then waterproof concrete walls inside the existing structure. Probably a minimum of 120mm thick.
