The Landmatters co-op has won the right to stay on land in south Devon for another three years. more: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/devon/6962759.stm
  1.
Good luck to em. Why only 3 years? Surely it's unfair to keep people living in limbo. How do you plan for the future when you might get kicked off in 3 years? It would have been better to have granted planning permission subject to to continuation of their low-impact lifestyle.

It gets worse. The Pembrokeshire low-impact policy, apendix 1 part 7 actually says "If residents become unable to contribute to the proposal, due to age or illness, the Authorities will consider whether they can remain on the site." It's not very encouraging is it. That's why I've bought 25 acres in Poland to make my own community. One that will care for the people who live there.
