I have just ordered a Reliance High Flow Solar Tempering Valve (Thermostatic Mixing Valve) for gravity fed solar water heating systems. See http://www.rmc.com.au/files/spec_sheets/MIX11511_1.pdf. Will let you know how it is working when installed in three week time.

Couldn't get this TMV delivered in time for installation so have gone with the Horne Engineering Heatstat T2 directly from the manufacturer with a 25% trade discount (arranged by the navitron forum for solar panel users). Let me know if you want a copy of the letter which I received from Horne, not from the forum I have to say. The T2 seems to be one off only a few low presssure TMVs that are suitable for gravity fed solar hot water systems. Have a look at the TMV 2 website for approval categories. http://www.buildcert.com/PDFs/TMV2/TMV2%20List%2028-11-07.pdf

The TMV has now been installed and is performing well so far. The real test comes when the solar temperatures are getting hires during the somer and when the woodstove is linked into the DHW tank.

I've just ordered a solar system from Navitron. Looking to source the TMV from Horne. Have you details on the discount you got as can't find the thread on the Navitron Forum.

    Many Thanks.
