    I just saw an outrageous conservatory conversion to a restaurant. Poorly insulated draughty and cold in the winter and too hot in the summer, now lined with 25mm polystyrene and timber t&g to make wc's and a bar!

    Is this kind of jcircumnavigation of building regulations allowed?

    Nah, they'll just bring in the radiant gas heaters and it'll be all right. Then they'll put it all down on their VAT and tax returns as running expenses. :sad::cry:
