Hi I'm looking at getting some training so I I can produce SAP ratings and EPC's for new dwellings. Everything read relates to OCDEA being for new builds, DEA to existing builds for when we move/rent etc.

My question: Is there a massive difference between the two courses? If I trained on a DEA course could I produce EPC's for new builds and visa versa?

    Thanks in advance

Don't bother training to be a DEA... there is massive oversupply, and DEAs are cutting their own throats around here, £40.00 per EPC! It is not sustainable as a business model.

OnCon EPCs are produced from different s/w.

Although the two types of EPC are derived from SAP and Reduced-data SAP, one cannot do the other.

There is a massive difference between the two, in terms of training, software, Audit requirements.

SAP courses range from £1800.00 I think IIRC?

    Good luck...

    Many thanks Daryl.

Your response explains why when I search for OCDEA training I have to sift through quite a lot of DEA stuff to get to what I need.

    Thanks once again

    Cheers.

Pretty much looks like one from:

    Stroma
    Elmhurst
    NHER
    BRE

Does anybody know of any others?

    TIA
