Hi all. I've just finished a new extension which includes an MVHR serving bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, utility and living room. The system was designed fir me and all components supplief. I installed it and was incredibly careful and fussy with the installation. I did make some minor changes to the installation due to design errors and building issues but overall it is the same system with no additional fittings purchased.
The problem I have that in order to get the flow from the unit, it needs to run 100% and the noise is unbearable. The measured flows and pressure bear no relation to the fan curve. Flow measured with all duct disconnected is about 60l/s and the fan curve indicates this should be over 100. The supplier will not accept there is an issue. They keep coming back to tbe fact the install is mot as the design. Compared to many systems I have seen mine is well installed. I'm not sure what to do. Am I missing something?

You could let us know the floor area, volume , and planned occupancy of the rooms ventilated by the MVHR, and the designed ventilation rate - for a design sanity check. And it would be useful to give make and model so others with the same could comment.

....is the system plenums and semi-rigid ducted, or large dia. metal ducts direct?
Who specced the unit? What metric was used to size it?
    Good luck:smile:

Probably a good idea for you to describe the changes that you did make, so we can hopefully confirm your opinion that they are not significant.
