    How much per m2 for larch cladding weatherboarding, supply and fix to a new build.

    Also fixing, two nails in the top or one near the bottom to fix?

    What sort of larch tony?
    e.g.
    UK grown,- green or kilned and graded
    Siberian,- e,g. unsorted or sawfalling

    What profile, bespoke, shiplap, square edged boards etc etc

    The profile will often dictate the fixing method.

    F/e boards likely 200mm, not sure what sort of larch,

    The larch type is paramount. UK grown, waney edge is likely to be cheapest, Siberian unsorted dearest. Personally I believe Siberian is superior product, it's slower grown and hence much denser and consequently will last longer. Quite likely less knots and longer lengths. It's what I would choose.
    If you want a quote whisper me how many linear metres and section size, and I'll ask my supplier.

    1000 linear meters of single pieces (500m of say 40x200 cut to f/e) like the sound of Siberian

    Too often when I order f/e boarding I get twice as much as I wanted as they cut it in half after they count the length. Yes I know....

    Did we ever get a price, per m2 or m3, for English larch?

    I'm about to order some and it's worth knowing the current price when I talk to the guy at the saw mill. I think he prices his larch, per m3?

    Paying about £15 m2 for Scottish larch with two angled edges, heartwood, pretty green- you wouldn't use kiln dried outside...
    Clearly there is a debate to be had over carbon footprint/ sustainability of Siberian larch?
