Has anyone with an Evance wind turbine had an update form the company or installer regarding this?

Our installer doesnt seem to have a clue what has going on, however I have heard this news from a couple of other people in the wind industry now.

I have tried to ring Evance and apparently someone is going to call me back, but Im still waiting

Do companies have a legal requirment to keep people they have an obligation too informed about these things? Im assuming that the warranty is now out of the window, and what about spare parts? Does the REAL assurance scheme offer any protection?

Luckily everything is currently running fine, but after what happened to Proven Im pretty concrned about the future. And the evance machine is a good turbine, if they have gone bust then it doesnt bode well for others in the industry!

Well the site is still up and running, usually it is the first thing to go once an administrator is appointed. Maybe they are a take over target?

Updated .. Appointment of administrators 1st May. https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/2117364

It is a real shame they have gone pop, I used to have a bit of a connection with one of the directors a few years back.
Last I heard they were getting the stuff made in Eastern Europe or the India/Far East.

I see there is a foot note at the very bottom of the home page, to the affect that the company is in administration.

Anyone want to buy a wind turbine company?

But I doubt my warranty now means anything!

Depends if it was an independent one. One of the reasons I did not go this route years ago. Needed 10 years for payback but warranty for only 5. Too many things to go wrong with them.
