I'm getting some very keen prices and substantial discount offer on wooden windows (U-value around 1.4) from a Polish company called Drewexim. We picked them up at Ecobuild or one of the recent shows. Anyone used them or heard of them?

Tom, you appear to be fond of Russell Timbers products. Do you have hands-on experience of their work?

Russell Timbertech - used them on 2 built projects and received quotes for another (aborted) and one just about to start. Their prices just seem to get keener and keener - latest is £253/m2 delivered for mixture of mainly 1m2 to 1.5m2 mullioned with opening light in every hole, plus a couple of large-area fixed-glass frames (so averagely 'dense'). Quality not the very highest but totally adequate, no failures or complaints. Their standard hardware unfortunately won't do the secure open-a-crack trick. Delivery has sometimes, in fact always, been late. Quotations a bit slow, not 100% clear. These are for all-timber - at the last look I wouldn't recommend their Al-faced ones, but that may have changed. These are classic Scandinavian type as adapted for 3G, not Passivhaus.

That's great feedback and echos a little of what I'm finding. Thanks Tom.
