The documentation available on the freely downloadable CD includes case studies of passivhauses built in Southern Europe and the UK. These demonstrate how the passivhaus concept can be adapted for a wider range of climates, and includes information on summer cooling techniques. It also includes a free demo of the Passive House Planning Package software (excel spreadsheet) - the fully working version is also much more affordable for self-builders (200 USD).
