We have 38 bags of Tradical Hemp Lime Binder and 18 Bales of hemp ideal for Eco House Building (left over from building our Hemp home extension). Any sensible offers considered.
    Originally obtained from www.limetechnology.co.uk
The Hemp Fibres and lime mixed with water forms Hempcrete, a carbon neutral, highly insulating wall.

Hi Cakeys, whereabouts in the country are you and how much do you want for it? I could really use some just now! Perfect timing.
  2.
I will offer you £300 depending on your location - it might not be worth collecting if its miles away!

    Hello Dominic,

Thank you for offer, however we are looking for a sensible offer in relation to the original cost - ie we paid @£14.62 per sack of lime, £20.50 a per bale of Hemp, so overall cost to us was £924.56 and new would cost more now with Vat increase. With this in mind could you make a better offer please?

We are in North West Norfolk near Kings Lynn

    Kind Regards

    Cakeys

ps sorry net to have replyed earlier - connection probs
  3.
    Miles away for collection.
I costed it at £11.30 per sack and £9.44 per bale, so £600 new. I didn't include the VAT.
Has it really gone up that much in just over a year? Blimey!

You seem to have an odd number if you did 1.5 bags to 1 bale?
Was this just natural variation on a large amount of mixing?
How did you get on with it and how long did it take you?

Sorry for all the questions, I am gearing up to do this soon!

Hi yes we had a shock to, as actual price was far higher then our original costed price.

Not sure about the ratio, whatever we obviously over estimated how much we needed, due to going from measurements and not allowing for how much volume the wooden structure filled!

We adapted our cement mixer to mix it which saved plenty money. Mixing was easy enough and so was the tamping, fiddling about under the roof was harder. Took a few weekends as each level needs to
dry before removing shuttering and moving up (shuttering prob took most time).

    Best wishes with your build.

Did you really pay that much for it? How long ago was that? I'm pricing up some jobs at the moment and finding it very difficult to get a unit price from limetechnology, but i've never paid that much for it. I need some materials to build a small display wall, would you consider selling part of what you have?
  5.
Just paid £13.97 per bag of binder (£16.76 with the VAT) and £10.75 per bale of Hemp Shiv (£12.90)
    It was delivered yesterday.
So it looks like I have paid a bit more for the binder but a lot less for the bales.

Delivery was dear though - £69 plus VAT per pallet on a curtainsider and we had 3 pallets so £207 (£248.40 with the VAT)
This was enough to do 9 cubic metres.
I was considering collecting but couldn't get organised.
If you include the delivery/divide it down then that would push the price up by about £1.85+VAT per item.

Compare the delivery cost for the Limecrete floor materials from Ty-Mawr which was £180+VAT for 14 tonnes on a hiab lorry (19 big bags and 2 pallets of Lime in small bags).
